Despite the many obstacles they had to overcome, they were always cheerful and we never heard any strong language from either of them. Much reduced water flow at 4pm 29.10.11. Reported to Y.W. 4.15pm. Telephone call in return at 4.35pm, Inspector called 5pm. Morrisons crew arrived 9.0am today, replaced meter, gone by 10.30. Excellent service all round many thanks.

Not sure of his name, but one of your team came to our house saturday afternoon/evening (29/10/11) to investigate a blockage at our house, 42 Westminster Crescent, Burn Bridge, harrogate, HG3 1LY.From the outset his manner was very friendly, he explained waht he was going to do, talked us through the process, found the blockage (despite working in the poring rain) and explained what had happenned.His effort, attitude and personality are a credit to you and i would be really grateful if you would thank him personally from my wife and I for all his hard work.Nigel and Sue Law

polite customer contact when working outside my house

Job Ref 13440666020Craig cleared two blockages in the vacinity of my property 6 Crossfield Court Overton on Tues 11th & Wed 12th Oct. He carried out further investigations whilst on site to seepage in my garden which was running across my driveway to try and identify the source of the smell throughout my property.Following an investigation from a representative from Environment Dept who identified a further blockage at 11 Green Lane Close which is located to the rear of my property Lee (surname unknown) attended on Fri 21 Oct and cleared another blockage which appears to have resolved the problem of the seepage across my driveway. Both engineers were extremely helpful in trying to resolve the problem and I would like to put on record my personal thanks for their help and assistance in resolving the problem.

Job ref 13477186 on 21/10/11 Carl & Marco unblocked our shared sewer. A text message was sent to say that they were on their way and they were here within 1.5 hours of our call. They quickly unblocked and cleaned the drain. They showed me the plan of the drains, explained the problem and were friendly & courteous. A level of service that I give to my clients, but rarely see in service suppliers to me. Well done Yorkshire Water.

He arrived as arranged and competently located our outside stop tap which had been covered over by last house owner. he cleaned out the chamber and checked the tap was working correctly. and re laid the turf leaving the lid exposed correctly. He cleaned up and left the job clean and tidy. A very courteous and competent workman Welldone !!!

Job no. 13468954 - They arrived on time. Removed a Windsor Trap that has caused major trouble for many months. Not having to lance or rod the trap at frequent intervals is a great relief. Jonathan fitted a water meter for me on the morning of Wednesday 19th October. He managed to fit it within a very restricted space and left his working area clean and tidy.

I would like to personnally thank Jonathan for the professional way he behaved throughout his visit to my home on the 24th Oct 2011. He fitted me an outside water meter same day within no time at all. He explained what he was doing and was very courteous throughout. This guy was due to come and find my Stop-Cock at my premises on the 18th oct, but to a more important problem he rang to explain then re booked to come on the 22nd and when he arrived nothing was to much troblie. he used every bit of Eqt he had then because he could not find it , He said he was going back to his base to try and find some Old plans as he knew the house was built in 1848, and he would return which he did with some old hand writen plans which showed a new Stop Cock was fitted in 1981 and wher it was, True it was ther he returned on 24th to chack all was OK. I must say his Professial input was 2nd to none He considerate to my needs, very experanced, knowlegable answerd all my quistions and was polite at all times, a credit to yorkshire water,and himself Well done job for a satisfied customer regards p steed

i would like to nominate the 2 lads above for a wow award as on sunday 23/10/2011 they repaired 2 water mains live in the village of bramley rotherham s66 to eliminate having to isolate the mains the first was a 6in a/c main which would have involved shutting of a hotel /mc-donalds restaurant /morrisons supermarket and petrol station and ballantyns gymnasium the second would have isolated properties just as they were sitting down to sunday dinner i think this gang deserve a mention as they repaired these live despite getting slightly wet .

Pat works on the 0845 help line. I was so impressed with the fact that the phone was answered by someone striaght away a real person. Then Pat was able to answer questions regarding lead in water and discuss whose responsibility it was, any arrangents for repairs and book me an appointment. Now this may be policy and training and system support but it was all in an extrememly personable manner, friendly, relaxed but accurate and timely. Its a big thumbs up for Yorkshire water but that is only because of staff quality. I hope Yorkshire water are going to set the standard for others to follow.
