I was experiencing a big problem in regards to the shower, that was working only at certain time during the day. The tenancy agency was saying that it was due to a problem of water pressure delivered at the 3rd floor where I live. Phil Elbourne made an extraordinarly thorough analysis of the situation, measuring pressure and flow rate from the main tap when the shower was not working, that were both above the minimum standards Yorkshire water provide, then he demonstrated that the shower was not working at all at the minimum conditions of both pressure and flow rate stated in the specifications of the shower itself. He also checked the openess of the valves in entrance to the building to assure that everything was fine. Last but not least he wrote me the report on his evaluation. Thanks to his evaluation, now the problem of the shower has been sorted out with the replacement of the shower itself. Phil demonstrated to be a great professionist in his job, very knowledgeable, very kind and very precise. Ive been really impressed and amazed by him!!!

I experienced excellent customer service from Aniqa today and just had to nominate her for a WOW award!! She is always eager to help, but she helped me out massively today when I received a call from a customer that was out of my remit and I was unsure of who should deal with it. I sought advice from Aniqa and although it was not something that she could deal with, rather than send me elsewhere she took the details from me and advised she would get some more information and pass it on to the relevant team.Such a pleasant, helpful person and a real asset to our department!

On Sat we discovered a very unpleasant pool/ lake forming in our garden under the apple trees.On contacting Yorks Water we were informed a team would come on Sunday morning despite the fact that we would be out visiting relatives. On returning home we discovered the sewer had been unblocked and every where was clean and garden plants were undamaged as care had been taken. I couldn t believe it !!!!!!On the Sunday before Christmas !!!! Thank you so much to all the team at Yorks Water and a Merry Christmas to you all!

We are just writing to thank you for the manner in which this matter has been dealt with. In particular my husband and I would like to thank GAry Rowe, your Customer Service Co-ordinator, who has dealt with the mateter in a very professional and friendly manner. On the day the works were to be carried out, one of our vehicles would not start and was stuck on our driveway. My husband did not have the opportunity to move the vehicle with me as he had to get to work. I telephoned Mr Rowe and explained the position and said that it may be that he could arrange for some of his workforce to come and move our car for us prior to me going to work. Three of your workforce did come and help move the car early that morning and this enabled the remedial works to be carried out on the same day. My husband and I are very pleased with the remedial and clean up works which have been carried out at our property. I would be grateful if you would forward our grateful thanks to Mr Rowe and his workforce for their much appreciated efforts in this matter and we thank your company for dealing with the matter so efficiently

email sent from John.Webb@yorkshirewater.co.uk.I have been contacted by a Mr Betterton of 5, Arundel Place, Whitby in relation to work carried out by Andy Borysenko and Lee Hubbuck to remove a Buchan Trap and take down a small vent pipe associated with the Ic.Mr Betterton was very impressed by the standard of work, speed and cleaning up of the work carried out. He also said the brick setts had been replaced and new ones added so he could not tell the work had been done.Please pass on this information and thanks from me as well for the work carried out in Whitby.Mick and Paul should also be thanked for all the hard work they have put in in the organisation and execution of the work so far.Cheers,John.

I called at 08:35 & spoke to a very polite chap in the Drainage and Sewerage team who advised that someone would be with me that day.Within an hour, 2 very friendly lads arrived at my door who were both very courteous and very professional. They immediately went to work & identified the issue, fixed it quickly and then also checked all other drains and manholes to ensure all was well to the feeding areas.They were brilliant, efficient and very very good. J781562-1-Last Friday we woke up to find that our water supply was rather a revolting colour and so I rang your customer services number to find out more about the problem. Unfortunately I failed to take the name of the lady I spoke to but feel I must write to you to tell you how impressed I was with the way she dealt with my query. She was so friendly and helpful and instead of repeating some old script as a lot of customer services people do in other companies, she treated the call as if we were the most important customers in the area. She was sympathetic and apologetic and this immediately put the problem into perspective. She promised that someone would ring me back after looking into the cause of the discolouration. I explained how I’d be at work until after pm and she made a note of that as well. Then later that afternoon another very nice lady rang me and I was able to tell her that the water had improved considerably and there no longer seemed to be a problem. I was so pleased with the service these two ladies provided that I would be grateful if you would kindly pass on my thanks.

I would like to "wow" the guys that removed the tree roots from the sewer on friday afternoon. they are T. Gawthorpe and S. Richardson. they were excellent, informative and efficient. they were also very good with my 4 year old grandson and explained to him, what they had done. they are an asset to yorkshire water and i was delighted with them and were so pleased it was them that came to sort out the problem

He arrived promptly and straight highlighted the problems, good communication throughout and did a very high quality of clearing the problem. Gave good advice throughout, brought a personality to the job. Thankyou

Jam writing to say thank you for the work your contractor P.B.H.S. did on Friday the 25 November. The men concerned Bill Brady and Brian Kinlan. I understand they were the emergency crew and arrived at 15.55 in the rain. They completed the job with no mess by 16.40 it was dark by then. Thank you to them. The work they carried out was on my private land and it was very wet and muddy because of the leak This good work from them came after an amount ofpoor work from the previous contractor H20 who had left me with mess even after being brought back and also considerable cost to me. They used my quarry bottoms to fill in the holes as they had only brought rubble with thent - I also had to pay my man to put more down and tamp it down again after they left. My son got in touch with them about this but they never got backto him.

Nomination from Mr Brook, Bishop Monkton, Harrogate I would like to comment as follows Planning Stage, we were impressed with the speed at which you mobilised your design/planning team for our site meeting, your trial hole and your design solution, equally with your consultation with us that the solutin met our requirements. Construction Stage, we were extremely impressed with your two operatives on site. They demonstrated a teamwork ethic in working with us and were very helpful and courteous to the local people in what is a very sensitive location. After care, we were extremely grateful to Paul who provided help and guidance to us on this scheme, but also on another water related matter that you would consider beyond his remit

Andy & Matt came from Morrisons on behalf of Yorkshire Water to repair our leaking stop tap which was outside the property under thick concrete.Andy & Matt were very friendly and hard working, they got down to work straight away in the freezing cold rain and wind. A large area of concrete was skillfully & cleanly cut then smashed out appropriately.The old concrete and hard core was put into the back of their van straight away and there was no mess at all. After that they carried out the pipe work needed and fitted a new meter / stop cock and sleeve.I was very pleased with how Andy & Matt Made Good with a wet mix of concrete / mortar. It was finished off skilfully and you barely know they have been there.They worked hard, fast and skilfully as a pair. Im very pleased with the work they carried out. They cleaned up every bit of mess and were friendly and polite.I was very, very impressed which is why I feel they are strong candidates for the "Wow Awards"Thanks Andy & Matt!
