On behalf of Mrs Dodd.... Email recvd in mailbox wbu.service.centre@yorkshirewater.co.uk 19/03Hi Natalie Thanks for the e-mail and indeed, someone came out to fit the metre today - great service. Mr Head (builder) empoloyed another outfit to reinstate the road so its done and looks fine to me but they will charge Chris Head and am somewhat wary that there might be a problem so waiting to make sure he pays and that the other outfit doesnt charge me! Am so cautious now. Will definitely await confirmation from Streetworks. Can I take this opportunity to say how hugely supportive and efficient Yorkshire Water have been throughout all of this and in particular you! You have been amazing and are a credit to the company. A huge thank you. Elizabeth Dodd (Mrs)

20399. John Cunningham and Ian Thompson
John and Ian attended my property today to install a water meter. They contacted me beforehand and when I attended the property they were both very friendly and offered advice as requested. The job they completed was extremely neat and they ensured that the area was tidy before they left. The customer service I have received was second to none, this was following a very positive experience throughout the process of applying for a water meter to be installed. Many thanks !!!

Worked tirelessly through awful weather conditions and the dark, fixing a broken supply pipe in January. Went above and beyond what I expected to get my water supply back on. So helpful and polite, even taking off muddy boots when checking things inside the house! High level of service thats rare these days.

Im not sure what this bit means, but Mick fitted our water meter at 70 Westminster Avenue last saturday (10th March). He was friendly and made us feel at ease with him being in our home. He was lovely to our dogs and an all round nice chatty man who could answer all the questions we asked him. Which I fel is important when you invite some you have never met before into your home.

Drain Blockage 71 Compton Row, Leeds, LS9 6DN I am the Owner/Landlord of7l Compton Row, Leeds 9. The purpose of this letter is to commend to you all members of your staff in dealing with my recent drain blockage. On 16 February 2012 1 was called to the property as the toilet had blocked and was overflowing the toilet pan. Despite my best efforts I was unable to clear the blockage. Believing the problem could be related to ongoing Water works which involved digging up the entire length of Compton Row and in desperation I rang Yorkshire water at 500pm that afternoon. I was immediately contacted by Drain Care who promised to have a service engineer at the property that same evening. During the course of that night two engineers attended and managed to unblock the drain which was caused by an open joint. I did not take the names of these individuals but feel they should be commended for their speedy attendance and professionalism in dealing with a very unpleasant, difficult situation. Following their attendance I have had several conversations with Mr Steven Duf1 who arranged for another engineer to attend during daylight hours to verify the problem. On 6 March I had the pleasure of meeting Winston at the address. He confirmed the problem and arranged for your organization to repair the broken drain. It should be said that Winston is a very polite, jovial individual who is a credit to your organization. My dealings with Mr Duft have prompted me to write commending to you all those involved in resolving the problem of my damaged sewer pipe. I am of the opinion that Mr Duft is an asset to you. He is professional, courteous and conscientious in his dealings with me. He has always returned my calls even when on training days and having been in meetings. He listens to your concerns and acts upon them accordingly. All too often we are quick to complain when things do not go right. It gives me great pleasure to be able to write to thank and commend your staff to you for the manner in which they have so far dealt with my very unpleasant problem. I await the repair being carried out in due course. Please pass on my thanks to your staff for their efforts to date. Yours sincerely David Hallas QPM JP

20444. Phil Atkinson
Date 15/03/2012 Time from 09-5 to 12-30 Blocked shared drain Little Ribston LS22 4ETPhil attended the blocked drain following a failed attempt by others the week previous. His remit was to carry out a CCTV survey. The shared drain was still blocked and the upstream manhole was half full. The exemplary customer care by Phil started by ensuring that all the neighbours were made aware of the proposed operations and approx time scales to allow all vehicles to be clear of the works. Following repeated jetting and CCTV surveys the blockage remained. The easy option would have been for Phil to accept defeat and to organise a dig team. This would have caused time delays and disruption to all the properties and additional costs to Yorkshire Water. Phil convinced his superiors that he would be able clear the blockage but would require an extension to the allotted time he had been give to do the CCTV survey only. Phil used initiative in finally clearing the muliple blockage by alternative rodding techniques. Phil must be praised for his persistance. We recommend Phil for the WOW Award!

20365. Andy Johnson and Richard Carter
We dont do this a often but where its justified we try to. Some praise for the work carried out by Andy and Richard on their dig job last week. I just want to point out that as usual the guys did a top notch job on the job order they were asked to do by digging to remove the blockage on the lateral. They then identifying that the main was holding which could have led to further problems and had the foresight to get investigation carried out downstream while their excavation was open by highlighting this to me. This led to a 70% fat blockage being removed which would have been our next repeat internal. Its good to see the guys thinking that bit further ahead to make sure that problems are resolved first time, rather than back filling once their order details are satisfied, and not only have they saved us probably a month on this investigation in having to open up again, they have saved us a repeat incident and I have managed to secure DG5 funding to go in and get the culvert changed to pipe which has also saved the R&M contract time and money. Please pass this on to Andy and Richard for me and my thanks to them.CheersSean
