21291. Michael Robinson
We called Yorkshire Water on a Sunday recently as the shared drains to our flats were blocked and overflowing. An engineer arrived soon afterwards, and well within the time frame suggested by the person who dealt with our call. The engineer, Mr Michael Robinson quickly found the problem and cleared it (wet wipes in the drain). Michael also found that the drains had a lot of silt in them, and went on to clear this also, as he said that this may cause the problem to reoccur. He further suggested that I contact the other flat owners, and alert them to the problems caused by putting wet wipes down the loo. I have now done so. I felt that Michael went well beyond the call of duty, and I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for him. He was pleasant and helpful throughout. I was especially impressed as this was Sunday afternoon. Thanks very much to Michael for the help!

21297. Anthony Warcup
Id like to nominate Anthony for his outstanding customer service and attitude. Ive been experiencing serious water hammer for some time, and Ive tried to fix it myself through the usual methods. I was advised to contact Yorkshire Water, so I did, and from start to finish it was a very efficient and trouble free experience. Anthony arrived yesterday (10.04.12) and he presented himself and his badge upon arrival, along with his card and an explanation of what he was going to do. Anthony was very professional, tested the pressure and flow of water and then explained that he was going to reduce the pressure / flow at the stop tap to see if there was any difference (something Id already done). Interestingly Anthony was able to adjust the stop tap in more minute increments than I had been able to, and the water hammer was seriouosly reduced but still evident. Anthony very quickly concluded that the water hammer was more than likely emanating from the incoming water main valve and identified it as requiring replacement due to its age and the seal had likely worn and perished over the years. I am extremely pleased with the customer service from Yorkshire Water and Anthony in particular. What a nice friendly chap and very experienced as well. Top man!!

Mrs Davison wrote to say "I would like to thank all your workers who were working on my street Seaforth Grove, Leeds on 29 March 2012. We had a funeral that day and they made every effort to help us.Everyone came in cars and they made sure everyone was able to park and follow the hearse for the funeral. They also stopped work till we had gone out of the street, would you please thank them for being polite and understanding"

We contacted Balfour Beatty to check it out. We received excellent response and was kept well informed, good news was there was no water leakage, so no work was required. Thank you once again"

J880501-8-Cust called to say Danny field tech that attended her prop due to low pressure was fantastic. He persevered ensuring that problem was fully rectified before leaving prop. And left his personal mobile number in case low pressure returned.Mrs Buxton also said that Danny called twice over the following week to ensure pressure had remained. What fantastic customer service

J889413-1-Would just like to say that I am very pleased and impressed with the service yorkshire water provided me with yesterday (12/02/2012) I had an emergency not covered by yorkshire water but they came out to replace the stop cock on the front of the house and even put an end cap on the pipe that was leaking meaning I was able to use my water normally. Absolutely fantastic 5* service, thanks very much

K012219-3-I have called cm to ensure all now ok and she has asked me to send her comments to yw as she does not have computer but wants priase passing for Matt Jones plumber who attended. She said he was very thoughtful and amazed he took his shoes of before entering the house. cm needed new ball valve as Matt did not have one he went straight away and got part. cm said he was credit to our company and Yw and could not have wished for a better gentleman who was so honest trustworthy and very genuine

I had applied for a water meter to be fitted to our property. I had been advised that a survey would performed on 12th April and that an engineer would at the property at 09:00. I recieved confirmation of this by text. Today (12th April) I recieved a text at 09:06, inforing me that a technician was on theit way (1st Wow).Jonathan explained what he was intending to do and explained that the water supply would be off for approximately 10 minutes. He knocked on the door after 5 minutes to inform me that the work had been completed! I was surprised at the speed at which he had completed the work and i was very impressed with his conduct. Very polite and exceptionally friendly. It felt like i was talking to a friend. Excellent service and top notch workmanship. Well done Jonahan and Yorkshire Water.
