Arrived to fit water meter at our house. Throughout the whole time Bill and his colleague kept me informed of the process, and throughout they took the time to apologise not only to myself but also to our neighbours about the dust and disruption. Their manners, their humour and obvious hard work were a credit and a positive reflection on your company.

After three unsuccessful visits trying to locate the external stopcock I had another appointment for the installation of a new water meter . Ian and his colleague John were punctual courteous and thorough in locating the (previously) hidden stopcock and they carried out the installation with minimum disruption. The installation was successfully completed within no time. Both of them demonstrated good customer skills, and I have no reservations about nominating Ian.

For the Attention of Yorkshire Water Services and Balfour Beatty Re: road resurfacing in the GranbysDespite the difficult task of lifting the sets to replace the mains water pipes, I would like to comment on the work now completed on Granby Mount. A real effort has been made to match the surrounding road surface. I would like to thank the men involved and am hoping that Granby View will receive the same level of care. These sets had to come up last year because of gas works and we all dreaded the latest excavations! We don’t mind waiting for completion if the quality of work is going to ensure that the road is returned to its former condition by the end of the contract. The men relaying sets have demonstrated real skill in matching the surrounding sets and road camber, so once again please thank them for the work completed to date on Granby Mount and View, much of it managed in appalling weather conditions!

We have just had our water meter fitted today 14th may 2012.The two guys who installed the meter were brillient , explained to me what they would be doing ,and apox how long they would be, when the meter was fitted they showed me the meter and how to read it and the water stop tap,which was very helpful information .Ian and John are a asset to your company, keep up the good work lads ,nice to see smileing faces .

After having to phone yorkshire water approx 8-10 times in the last two years reguarding a recurring blocked external drain, Dale is the first person to look for & find a potential reason for this recurring problem. Hopefully the information Dale is passing to the relevant departments reguarding this will lead to a permanant resolution of the problem. A very professional & polite young man with a genuine concearn to resolve the problem properly, not just to clear the blockage until next time.

Job No. 141875710010 We reported a blocked sewer at 3 pm on May 11th. We waited 43 hours for a technician to arrive but when he did so Alex Gee quickly found the problem and cleared the drain. He was also very thorough and checked the drains in the adjoning properties. He was a very considerate, courteous gentleman who restored our faith in Yorkshire Water after we had cause to complain about their services last year.

Reported a serious drainage (to me) problem to Personnel at YW on Friday 11th May 2012. Phoned YW with trepidation. Was informed someone would call back within 30 minutes- actually rang back in 15 minutes. Was informed someone would visit within one to two hours – actually arrived with big machine after 40 minutes, could not resolve problem but called for reinforcement and an even bigger machine arrived which resolved the problem with the sewers and subsequently lowered my blood pressure. Many thanks to the personnel at YW.

These days it really makes a change to experience this kind of superb service carried out with curtesy and politenesss,which did indeed make me say WoW.
