Dear sirs, I would like to say a big thank you to the workmen who are working on Rocks Nest Rd, Stanley, for being friendly and polite. They did help me carry my shopping from the bus stop to my home. Many thanks, Mrs E. Brooke.

I live on a main road that your company is presently working on regarding the sewer system. This has been on-going for some months now, and I was quite surprised to note that the disruption has been minimal. This is due to the very good traffic control and common sense approach adopted by your work force. I have spoken to the staff on a couple of occasions, once a few weeks ago when I was offered assistance. The young guy concerned was very polite and helpful, alas, I did not think to ask his name. The second time was this afternoon. A man driving a small white Barhale van was putting out a road sign at the entrance to our access road just before the recently placed traffic signals. I spoke to him briefly and was again impressed by his pleasant and helpful manner. I am not in the habit of giving praise were it not due but the two people I have spoken to reflect a very good image of your company. It is a refreshing change in today’s world to be greeted with courtesy and politeness. If it means anything at all, well done Barhale! I would like to thank the workforce working outside our shop for being polite and courteous to our customers. They always move their machinery to allow customers access onto the dual carriageway. To all staff at Barhale, I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all the team that have been working on the St Peg Close area. It has been a massive project, the team have done an excellent job, they have all worked very hard and kept people informed every step of the way, it has been greatly appreciated, thank you to everyone involved. To whom it may concern, I would like my thanks passed on to the men of Barhale who are working on the flood defences at the bottom of my road. Their friendliness and sense of fun have been great to see. Having taken my dog twice a day to the field at the bottom not a day goes by that they don’t call out ‘good morning’ or have a word. When a job involves the public, it is very hard to please everybody, but they have all tried their best. Thank you all, Mrs. S. Schofield.

Work has just been completed at the above address, and I must say to a very high standard, Darren Lunn, Alan, and John [ Sorry for the missing surnames] and all the lads from Bierley have done a very good job. When problems did occur like our dog escaping or kids getting into the garden one phone call and the problem was sorted, Darren was the customer service operative and kept us informed all the time about the work being done and when work stopped Darren informed us why, communication is key and I must say this is one of Darren’s strengths. Darren and his team have done a great job and I must say I was very unsure when the work started, having to have 4 trees taken down and large shrubbery pulled out, a tank put in and losing part of our garden for 6 months, but the result is good, a new lawn and shrubbery put back and most important 2 poles for an existing hammock, having lost the trees which it hung on, again help was given and I was informed all the way of choices that i had, even down to the colour of the fence which had to be replaced. The work done to finish the garden off is to a very high standard and we are pleased that it has ended on this positive note. I thought it would be good to send a letter of recognition to yourselves about the staff working on this project. I can honestly say that all the lads have been courteous, well mannered and very professional in the work they have been doing, nothing has been to much for them, If I may I would like to mention them by their names if possible; A very big thank you to; Paul Lynch, Steve Lynch, Neil Wade, Martin Adams, Nicholas Curtis, Shaun Butler, Chris Wosman, Brian Jackson and Paul ClayI am sure that you are aware in todays current climate people are quick to phone or sending a letter in thinking that if they complain that they will be compensated. So therefore I have made it my business to obtain the lads names from BarhaleWSP to show that there are people out there that are genuine and that they appreciate the hard work that has gone into it. BarhaleWSP are currently working on the A58 Easterly Road. They told us that they needed to work on our drive owing to the manhole. They were working there for two months. In all that time they have been polite we have had no problems with them using our drive with the heavy machinery it was all damaged. They said they would put it right for us and they did. We now have a lovely new drive. Now they are going to do our garden for us and then they will have done everything they have promised us.
