Arrived when arranged. Very pleasant and well mannered. Managed to trace the water supply pipe even though it was well hidden under a patio. Installed the water meter and put the patio slabs back exactly as they were, as promised. Cleared away the associated mess and left things looking as if they hadnt disturbed anything. Friendly and professional. Explained what they were doing and why. Recommended for WOW award along with his work mate Gavin Marchington

14901. Michael Denny and Alan Sadler
I felt I just had to write this letter to you and inform yo of the way your personne have looked after me during the work carried out at my property. Since Micheal Denny (Field Case Manager) took over the project, he has kept me informed as to what was happening and to make sure the work was done. Thank you Michael. Alan Sadler who was working for the contactors made sure things were right, and any disruption was kept to a minimum which was a big help. I must also thank the landscape gardners for tehre care and attention to detail. They have done an exceptional job. Once again could you please give my sincere thanks to all concerned that were involved with this project. Best of all I have no smell of sewerage in my house,.

Paul was very polite and friendly, very informed and made everything very easy and clear to understand.He gave me all the possibilities and options but not in a negative way and certainly fulfilled his promise to work in an efficient and neat manner.I was very impressed. It is not often you meet someone who is enthusiastic and positive, as well as knowledgeable.He is a credit to his employers.

I would like to nominate the 2 engineers that came to fit my water meter on Saturday morning. Firstly I have waited ages for this to happen and been given lots of confusing information. But the chaps came on a Saturday which I was delighted about as I have a full time job where it is difficult to get time off. The appointment was 8am - 12pm, but they arrived promptly at 8am, they were quick, efficient and very pleasant. They told me exactly what would happen and how long it would take, they allowed me time to get a wash before the water went off. When they had finished they asked me to come out and view what they had done and explained how the meter worked and how it would be read and how to turn off my water in an emergency. The work they did on the footpath was neat and they left everything clean and tidy.

14922. Ian King
The stop cock in the street outside our property broke during Morrisons fitting of a new water meter. Several people came to repair the stop cock ( all of whom did a decent job ). The following day July 12th. Ian King came to do the repair which had already been done at 10-30pm the previous night. He was able to suggest and implement some further improvements which he carried out with good will. He explained what he was doing and why, and entirely put my mind at rest. He then explained what to do if there were further problems and and showed me how the outside stop cock worked and what effect it had. Altogether he left me satisfied with the work of Yorkshire Water and content that I knew what to do keep the parts working properly. A good job, very well done with a pleasant manner.
