18288. Nigel Drury 13643892
Nigel came to my property on Dec 13, 2011. He arrived on time and was very professional from the start.First he examined and cleared a blocked drain on the exterior of my building. Then we had a discussion regarding the blocked drain in my cellar. He used a camera to inspect the drain. His camera initially encountered a heavy layer of silt. From this, he determined the blockage to be within my property boundary. However, he was willing to listen to my explanation that the silt was due to standing water from the exceptionally slow drain. He then agreed to attempt a jetting of the line. It was after this action that he became aware through his own examination that the blockage was clearly beyond the property boundary. What makes this a WOW event for me is that he was willing to do more than what was required and he listened and considered my input.Making more effort than expected, he resolved the problem without wasting my or Yorkshire Waters time and money.A good employee and a good man.Well done.Martin McNeill

18308. Rob Ferrett & Sean Ferrett
Rob Ferrett and his brother Sean Ferrett of H2O finalised job number 13276918 on 13 December 2011 which had been done in two halves (Rob and Sean did not do the initial phase). They were courteous, helpful, informative about what was happening and explained the delay caused by an unexpected situation underground. They stayed on site until the job was completed and, more importantly, completed to the customers satisfaction. They ensured proper water pressure was available and at one point were so concerned about an apparent lack of pressure in the house and that a baby lived there to suggest they request a plumber attend to rectify. In the event that wasnt needed but it shows their complete customer focus. My compliments to them.

18318. Nigel Drury
Three thanks here for Nigel. One from Keith Parker at 42, one from Chris Mangham at 26, and one from me at 44. (all next door neighbours in S60 3DG). Keith spotted the leaking drains at 7.00pm on Wednesday 14th Dec. I confirmed that my inspection cover was seeping, and Chris found a possible blockage between two of his inspection covers. (we all live on a steep hill) With families about to arrive for Christmas we all needed clear drains! Nigel was very impressive. He arrived this afternoon, quickly identified where the blockage must be and rectified the problem using the impressive equipment which is now available. (not a drain rod in sight). He then made a camera inspection of the affected areas and jet blasted the inspection chambers. Thanks Nigel, you knew what you were doing.

Work being carried out on Westfield Road and surrounding LS3 area. Completed within a week. Very polite staff. Both on site working and call centre telephone when I enquired about the situation. So, to reiterate, speedy work and polite workers and cleaned up the area well. Mr Evans called to numerous houses/flats to make sure everything was working satisfactory for customers. Please give all of the people involved in this work some kind of Santa bonus for the excellent work they have done, especially in this cold weather! lol. Cmon, it is Christmas after all!! Thank you and to everyone at Yorkshire Water. Merry Christmas!!! :)

Today, 16th December, 2011 about noon the above two men arrived to fit a new water meter on my property, which required digging outside. The incoming pipe was very deep but this presented no problems to them and they had it uncovered in what seemed no time at all, and did it in such a way that no paving slabs were disturbed (it was on the edge of a patio). They left the site so tidy that when my wife returned shortly after they left, she thought they hadnt yet been and I had to point out where they had fitted the meter! These two are clearly very professional workers, very pleasant and a credit to your Company. You are judged on the efforts of your work force, and these two, who I have never seen before, deserve any recognition possible. You should be very proud of them.
