Mr & Mrs Russell from Leeds wrote My wife and I would like to praise the workmen that have been working in our street, they have been excellent, my wife is disabled and they have made sure she has had access in and out of our property at all times, also our car has been parked in my neighbours driveway opposite while the works have been undertaken and your men have made sure that I have had access at all times to get our car in and out. One worker who was very tall (Im sorry I dont remember his name) has watched me in and out of the street at all times, all the workers have made sure all work has been done at our end of the street first as to not cause us too much hassle. We cannot priase these men enough for their help and consideration. Please pass this email onto them and any other departments in your company

Mrs Gaunt, Newsholme, Keighley wrote I am writing to commend the BBUS workers for the excellent work they are currently doing, and have been carrying out, over the past 2 months in Newsholme Village, Oakworth, Keighley. Their names are Mick Duffy and Gavin Fernavs. I must admit the thought of the arrival of a new water pipe and the disruption filled myself and my husband with dread. The village is narrow with few passing places at the best of times and the turning corners are tight. The men have accommodated us at all times when we have driven in and out of the village and have been polite, friendly and courteous. The drainage in the village itself has caused concern for many years and the rain running down from the back fields has on occasions flooded our garage and torrents of rainwater have run past our house as it is on the corner, and there has been only one grate in the middle of the village to take the rainwater. This has silted up and is now blocked and could not take the deluge of water when it rains heavily in any case. My husband and a neighbour improved the drainage and my husbands concern was that the digging up of the road would disrupt this and make the sitution worse. The men have listened to my husbands concerns, taken them on board, accommodated us and fitted new drains which will imprve what we had and hopefully make the situation much better for us. The men also uncovered an old culvert running through part of the village and in order to preserve it, dug a path at the side of it in which to run the pipes. All this will have taken them extra time and effort. I cannot commend them to you highly enough, they are really assets to your company

I want to nominate the whole team who have dealt with my recent water leakage problem. I live alone but recently received a bill showing my consumption had more than quadrupled. The response to my enquiry by telephone was polite, courteous, understanding and exceedingly helpful. The invetsigator who came to my house was equally helpful, taking time to explian and reassuring me around the next steps. The contractors arrived prmptly on the day arranged to fix what turned out to be a leak in the water meter chamber and this was followed by a final call today from the contact centre to explain they were re-adjusting my payments as clearly the bill was due to the incorrect fitting of the new meter months ago. Call centres, big companies and custoemr care gets a very bad press these days so I just want to re-dress the balance and say Thank You to everyone I dealt with. They all deserve praise and an award, they are a fabulous team!

I was having trouble with leaking indoor tap, an indoor stop tap which needed replacing because it would not turn the water off, and the inability to find the outside stop tap. Andy Burns was absolutely tremendous, he helped to stop the the leak on the indoor tap and located the outside stop tap for me, all this done quickly and efficiently and with the greatest possible professionalism. He is a real credit to Yorkshire Water. I feel he more than deserves to be nominated for a WOW award.

Dear sir I would like to express my thanks for the way your work force carried out the work in Duke Street Elland this week. Whilst it did not concern me at all. I cannot help,as being a tradesman in the building industry all my life, commenting on the way the work was conducted with speed and efficiency. It makes a refreshing change to see workers getting on with their, work as your team did,and leaving a clean and tidy street. It seems to be the norm these days for a lot of the time be to be spent in a cafe or vehicle cabs eating, drinking & reading newspapers. It is good to see there are some who still come up to the old standards. Well done your team please pass on my thanks to them and to your telephone operative who took my call regarding access for a furniture delivery, we were expecting, she rang back and said there would be no problem. Hi,Thought this would be a nightmare and it is all sorted just as they promised. Exceedingly good customer service which ended with a "thank you for calling Yorkshire Water" I felt like saying "you are very welcome". I thought it might not happen within the time scale and as promised but my doubts were proved wrong and I received the text to say they had commenced and completed (within the time promised) the work and, in addition, received a card detailing the problem. Which, think goodness wasnt as serious as I thought it might have been. Thank you so much Yorkshire Water. Nearly makes me want to pop couple more bricks down the drain to see if you can do it again.....not!!! please pass on my thanks to those involved. It was a good team effort
