on friday morning 27/1/2012 I reported that main sewage outside my backdoor was overflowing. The workmen arrived soon and promptly got to work, they removed blockage and gave the drain good clean thru, they bagged and removed the rubbish and then washed down and cleaned the area. I found both lads were cheerfull and polite at all times,and i would nominate them for the excellent service they gave. yours faithfully michael stables.

Randall Silverwood and Phil Wilson attended to assess my blocked drain. They both worked to find the blockage in a polite manner. You would expect them to? Well maybe, but they did. The bonus was that the blockage was in an area not my responsibility. This was explained to me and advice given should I have any future incidents. No charge, except for 2 drinks, which were made with pleasure. If your WOW awards are to promote good feelings about your workers, then they are doing the job.

I had my water meter changed on 30.1.12 at 4.30pm. The guy that arrived was polite and well kept he arrived on time. He noticed a leek on my stop tap and went back out to his van to get the tools to sort it, which he did. I will always commend people who go the extra mile to help people out also when they have fantastic manners as he did. Hope he gets the recognition he deserves. I wasnt sure of his job title or department sorry. Many thanks Joanne Neville x

Mr Emmott, Newsholme, Keighley wrote I am writing to say what an excellent team of workers we have had in our village installing a new water main. They have been superb! Nothing has been too much trouble for them, this is a small village with only one way in or out, and they have always done their best to allow us to get through. They always have a cheerful smile and hello for us, and have always left the area they were working in tidy and secure. I am sure everyone in our village feels the same as my wife and family

Craig came round today to unblock my drain. It turned out the blockage was on Yorkshire Waters property (underneath the pavement). He was punctual, informed, efficient, helpful and pleasant. A real asset to Yorkshire Water in my opinion.

Fri 18th November. This man came to fit a water meter & managed to get it installed despite a small access panel in the back of some expensive kitchen cupboards. Having already had a panel cut out I was really unhappy about the prospect of having to have more cut out, but Mr Wagner managed to make it fit & not stick out into the cupboard. I was very happy & relieved to say the least, as my experience with arranging the appointments had been a nightmare (Yorks water contacts ok, but the system that gets another company to ring me back when im all over the place in a hospital without mobile access was not workable). Anyway, if it wasnt for Mr Wagner id probably have given up the idea completely, as it was getting to be such an ongoing hassle. So many thanks to him for saving the day !
