I would like to nominate Gerard for a wow award because while I was having my central heating put in so many things went wrong, but Gerard was always there at the end of the phone to help me and sort it all out. When any jobs were being done in the home he sat and explained everything, thats why he would have a wow award.

For the work they do and keeping us happy while ive been there. They have been very good to us. If we wanted any help, or anything, if they could help us with it they would, or if we wanted to talk or ask them a question they would. Ive been quite happy here, and if i had to come back, and if i had to come back, id be willing to do so. The place is spotless and the food is very good.

To me she is just wow!! I went into the civic centre with sleepless nights, worried that no one would listen and could not help me with sorting my worries out as i couldnt! She was everything i didnt expect. she was an angel from above, now i feel due to this lovely lady worry free. She deserves this award!! Thank you!!

Heather Sherwin has been an inspiration to both my wife and i, without her support and all her team our lives would have been much harder to come to terms with. The whole team were very efficient, friendly and very understanding about the circumstances which we found ourselved in. So please accept this as a wow factor for Heather Sherwin.

The support they give and the way they welcome people is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for these girls. They helped me with planning which went towards my outstanding achievment at my last ofsted inspection in September 2011. These girls deserve a big WOW! Constant pleasurable and individulance of the staff. They have helped me to go back home where i live on my own. Nothing was too much trouble or effort. I had lost all my confidence and now am looking forward to being in my own home again after 7 months.

Jane has been assisting my representative with the restoration of a property I own - The Wedgwood Big House, 1 Moorland Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent and although my representative has found communicating with some of your departments to be extremely labour intensive, Jane Corfield has always provided informative and practical advice which has proved invaluable whilst restoring my Grade 2* listed building. To be honest, it is only because of Jane Corfields involvement that I am prepared to incur significant financial losses in trying to make The Wedgwood Big House a centre for the arts in accordance with Julian Reads regeneration strategy. If it was not for Jane Corfield I would have given up trying to make The Wedgwood Big House accessable to the public a long time ago! Jane Corfield lives and breathes conservation and preservation and Stoke City Council would do well to reward Jane Corfield for her efforts. If only there were more Jane Corfields working for Stoke City Council! Her attitude to work and her commitment to our heritage are unrivalled!!! Well done Jane!

Due to illness i had to move home from Bentilee. City Housing proved lengthy but eventually I accepted a property that wasnt really suitable. When Cynthia came to see me after nearly 2 years she immediately appraised my situation and recommended moving. I though " Oh yes, another 2 year wait". I coudnt have been more wrong, as i was rehoused within 3 weeks of initial contact. Not only was I treated courteously, I was kept in the loop and all questions dealt with promptly from beginning to end. Disability adaptations were dealt with promptly and to my great satisfaction. The effort put in on my behalf deserves my thanks and recognition from the Council. Again, I nominate Cynthia Tyler

She is so caring, always has a smile, she has been a great help to me, helping me get washed, dressed and all my daily needs which i used to take for granted. She has encouraged me to be independant once more, with her kind words and reassuring physical help. She is one of the most nicest people ive met and it was a pleasure spending time with her. She always goes the extra mile.

As a newcomer to the library, Richard went out of his way to show me where everything was. He took me to the self-checking machine and showed me how to use it when i returned a book. He explained the pricing system for the CDs and DVDs. He asked me if there were any books that i wanted that werent on the shelves, then went to the computers and we found what i wanted. All in all, he was first class.

Jane Corfield has been helping me to help The Wedgwood Big House help the Burslem regeneration project led by Julian Read. I dare anyone to count the number of emails I have sent her - all of which have been replied to promptly in accordance with The Citizens Charter. Today she very kindly responded to all my outstanding questions one day after visiting The Big House to inspect it and one day before going on leave for a week. Her assistance in helping me to project manage the restoration of The Wedgwood Big House has been invaluable and she has put me in contact with a firm that has already saved us many hundreds of pounds without even visiting The Wedgwood Big House. Few people are capable of such professionalism! We salute Jane!

All the staff that have been to me have gone that extra mile and have given a fantastic service. Really helped me get back on my feet.

Wajid was introduced to me by Mandy Powell. He has been a god send to me. He got me food from Arch, got social services to give me help, helped me with funeral arrangements, helped me by contacting different agencies for help to pay for funeral. He also got clothes for me and children. He got a cooker donated from Comet. There isnt enough room to write how good he is.

If i hadnt had help from Anne on getting benefits for children when tammy my daughter died. I dont know what i would of done. Thanks for all her help.

I am a childminder in the local area and would like to thank Val for the excellent support she has given to me over the last few months. Val is always so professional and has guided me so well that I have received an overall Outstanding in my first Ofsted inspection. Val is always at the end of the phone if ever I have a query and if she is not available will always get back to me at her convenience. Thank you for all your hard work and support.

I cannot praise the help paul has given me enough, his advice and help has been wonderful. I would not have got through without his help he helped me fill my forms in, got me help from the council, to bathroom repairs etc. and most of all he is always very reassuring telling me not to worry, given me confidence knowing he is there to help me. I personally know for sure that Paul deserves this award without any doubt what so ever.

My father Frank has just had 2 weeks respite at Marrow House. The care and attention he has had has been second to none he has actually enjoyed himself for the first time since starting respite. They are like one big happy family and he was part of it. Frank is blind which can be a problem but not at marrow house. Please dont close it down.

I want to nominate Katie for her help and understanding during my interview with her. Katie sorted my claim out and give me peace of mind. She was a true proffessional in her line of work.

David was very respectful and understanding to my situation. He answered all my questions and took the time to ensure my application was processed correctly. My mind was put at rest and I felt confident in his ability and knowledge.

For the last few months i have been in a really bad place and pam has been a fantastic support. I dont think i can say enough words to show how thankful i am too her. No matter how busy she has been she has always been there for me. Pam is a very kind and caring person and i couldnt have asked for a better support worker. I am truly thankful for all the help and support she has given me and i truly believe if it wasnt for the support she has given me i wouldnt have been able to get through it. Pam is the best!!!!!

My family and i would like to thank Hayley Heath (Scheme co-ordinator at Newhouse Court) for help and support during my health concerns at this time. She has been a tower of strength and someone i can open up to. I cannot praise her enough, although she has a very busy job, she found time to comfort and reassure me. She also put me in touch with a lovely lady name Dawn Fitzjohn, she was very kind and considerate. I cannot thank these lasies enough and feel very lucky to have them supporting me. I cannot think of anybody more deserving of a wow compliment then Hayley and Dawn.

With the loss of my wife in August 2011 after a major stroke. My health had begun to deteriorate further and I could not see any way forward, even with the help of my daughter, who had taken on the role of my full time Carer. The local Social services became involved in trying to help me in my recovery. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who was looking after my best interests during this period. I would especially like to nominate JOY RILEY for the WOW AWARD for her devotion, diligence and compassion in the preservation of my welfare in helping though the past few months. Joy has helped me to become more independent

Everyone I have come into contact with, including enquiry desk, bus pass counter and help with books. They are all so polite and friendly. The library is a great credit to the council, we now enjoy coming to the library, its very interesting. Well done.

I am writing to express my gratitude for the support and help I received from Jude Bradshaw. I suffer from a number of health problems and Jude has been a key player in my recovery. I would like to nominate Tracey because she is a fantastic manager and a wonderful person. She takes the time to know your children as well as knowing you. She has a passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the job she truly believes in.

The Crescent Childrens Centre is held together by Tracy. Everything works like clockwork under her leadership which was proved by an outstanding award in November 2011. Tracy will make time for anybody, remembering everybody and their children whick makes you feel so comfortable coming into the childrens centre.

I have been having great difficulty over the last 7 days to get someone to "own" my elderly parents issue of no heating and hot water in the house since the gas boiler broke down last Friday. I have been in contact with many organisations to get the help required, especially a quick result due to the bad weather and my Fathers illness.. From the moment I had contact with Sharon and the team, they gave me confidence they had the tools, and skills to deal and resolve the problem, kept me informed of the ongoing situation and excelled in providing a swift and amiable solution. As the statement of your Vision states... they excelled. Many Thanks to the Warm Zone team....*****... 5 star performance.

I visited the UK and Ireland in August and September 2011. Of all the visitor facilities I went to, I only visited one place twice and that was the Potteries Museum. The main reason was because of Pat Gater. Pat showed incredible enthusiasm and expertise for the Staffordshire Hoard and was able to pass on that enthusiasm to me. I do have a interest in Roman history and Pat re-ignited that in me. Nothing was too much trouble whether it was making sure that I could see the tiny details of the scabbards and jewellry or explaining how the Hoard was being prepared for display now and for the future. It was lovely to have such a good conversation with someone who didnt treat me like a tourist but engaged with me one-on-one. During 5 weeks of solo travel in your part of the world, Pat is the only person I would consider nominating for an award - and I do hope she receives it. Ive been singing her praises both to people I know and to the wider electronic travel community. Thanks, again, Pat - and Ill be back to see you later this year!

I would like to enter Tracy Jackson in for the wow award. As Tracy Jackson has done a wonderful job in the children centre for the last six years. Without Tracy Jackson we would not be where we are today as parents we have a lot to thank knowing that we have made new friends, having a place to go where we as parents can relax & enjoy the center. Without the center we would not know where we as parents could go for any help that we may need. When my family moved from London in to Stoke on Trent me, my husband & kids did not know anyone we had help from my kids going in to nursery before they went to school knowing that they will be safe so they were not alone.
