Both ladies were kindness itself, very attentive and excellent attendance to me during my six weeks. I am more than sorry to see them finish their six weeks. I shall miss them greatly.

In my opinion i think that Debra gives a very professional service, along with her pleasant, kind and understanding attitude towards her clients. I without hesitation would give her a wow and five stars.

Sharon is a professional, pleasant and caring lady. When i spoke to her I could tell she was listening. I found her to be compassionate and extremely helpful. I felt she had my best interests at heart. Thank you Sharon

I have told Hayley very personal details, she has never judged me, or held anything I said against me. Hayley is respected by all concern, she is always happy and shows professionalism at all times. When my mother stays for respite I have peace of mind that my mum is well cared for her personal needs are met. she gets friendly staff that include service users in activities. Mums medication is dealt with efficiently. Mum says the meals are lovely and a good variety. The rooms corridors etc are clean with no odours thats why id like to nominate the staff as they all work together as a team.

They work as a team and all the team took exceptional care of my father when he was in last week as a respite guest. He was treated with kindness and respect at all times. The home was kept very clean and safe and was a pleasure to visit. Well done to all each one deserves an award.

I want to nominate these because they are kind and thoughtful, they have never spoke down to me, I have achieved lots of goals with the support of Tina, Sarah and Val. I cannot thank them enough, I will miss them. But it is very good for me that I have reached many goals.

For a number of years, we had been attempting to identify an item of Spode Royal Jade Ware that had been in the family for many years. Pam Woolliscroft, formerly of the Spode Museum Trust, kindly recommended that we contact the Stoke-on-Trent City Archives to see if you could help, given the fact the Spode Archives are now housed with you. Imagine how pleased we were when a reply was promptly received from Liz Cooper identifying the item completely thus once and for all resolving the mystery. A real WOW moment! Shaun has worked tirelessly for us all in Hartshill in organising and solving various issues we have had including Parking and Litter and just last week organised our Respect day which has had a dramatic impact on the area where we live and has been working closely with the hospital to get staff to refrain from parking in the street where we live resulting in the hospital trust agreeing to pay for "Resident Parking" for us. Without the help and support of Shaun, none of this would have happened. Our environment is now a much cleaner and nicer place for us all and we are very grateful to him.

Kerry provided exceptional service whilist dealing with a complaint that was made around our decking that our neighbour felt should have had planning permission. The speed of response was so quick we were never left waiting and were always fully informed. Kerry came out to see us the same day we made contact and kept us fully informed and the matter was closed within days. A truly exceptional service by an exceptionally busy employee.

Miss Cotton of Maple Court Primary School is my sons class teacher (Y5), she has a difficult class but finds the time to help and encourage all the pupils in her class, i would like her to receive a wow award so she can see she is appreciated

I would like to nominate Debra Tullett for a Wow award due to her very approachable and intelligent treatment of my 90 year old mother whilst assessing her for an attendance allowance. Professional and on the ball.

I would like to nominate "ALL" the staff at St Michaels House for the warm, caring and professional manner in which they have worked after my 90 year old mother whilst in their care. What struck me most of all was the team work between all the different departments. Excellent!!

My mum has respite at Marrow House her care both physical and mental, also emotional is excellent. The staff take care what ever mum needs. The staff have the knowledge and patience to help and sometimes just be there to give support. They make the enviroment a happy and relaxed place to be. The efficiency of the staff that are in the office with the booking in and medication gives me peace of mind that everything is done correct and to the book. Marrow House Staff deserve the wow award for my mums care and my peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after.

The team have been very respectful at all times. They have given the confidence which I needed.

It is impossible to nominate one person. The people who make up the Rehab Team are WONDERFUL. They are dedicated to helping people like myself, without them, and their support i would not have made the progress i have, There help will never be forgotten.

Just a few words to compliment Wendy and her teams at St Johns and Portland House. Having worked numerous shifts for the above establishments (through agency) since November 2012 I feel I must acknowledge the fine work all the staff do for the clients in their care. I was made to feel very welcome from the fist day at both places and feel that I was included in everything and was made to feel part of the team. From my experiences all staff have a wide knowledge base about their clients and fully understand their needs. Staff are person centered in their approach to care. It was heartening to see that the staff had a great understanding of their clients needs. The monitoring of care is very good and again from what I observed communication between the Day Service Officers and Families was excellent. Clients who were able to said that they really enjoyed going to the centres and talked positively about the staff. I could go on! Keep up the fantastic work. WONDERFUL (place to work) OPPORTUNITY to work for you. thank you for giving it to me WORTHY of all the credit you receive.

This is not a nomination for a specific person, but to cover the excellent service and care provided for my mother, Yvonne Morris, whilst she was in the care of staff at Abbot House, Abbey Hulton. Every member of staff contributed to the attention to detail and concern, and although my mother has been in a variety of care services through the years, I have never experienced such dedicated care as at Abbot House. They should all be commended.

I received first class service on the 09/04/2013 and was very impressed and thought wow that was really efficient. The service was efficient, polite and very helpful. It was on a Tuesday afternoon and they were very busy at the Stoke-on-Trent one stop shop at about 2.15 pm. It was excellent service.

The work and dedication the staff put into the day centre is second to none. It is a busy and exciting place to be. The respect shown to service users and staff is excellent.

She is really caring and good at her job

Providing exemplary care to my father, a dementia patient, whilst he was there for assessment. They showed themselves to be exemplary professionals and a true credit to Stoke on Trent City Council.

Every thing about the home is brilliant care, food, attention and cleanliness

I cant single out just one person for this award because they all did a fantastic job of making it a wonderful christmas for all their service users. The hard work that was put in decorating the home, putting on concerts, christmas party and making christmas day a wonderful one. It was truly a lovely feeling visiting there seeing everyone so happy and enjoying themselves. Thank you all. My mother is a service user.

She is a very pleasant person always speaks and asks how you are, Lovely lady.

I would like to nominate all the staff at Abbots House for there wonderful care to the residents. My mother Emily Parkes has been at Abbots for 2 years in March. Shes had 1st class care throughout her time there. The care staff, domestics, admin, kitchen and handy man always do things to a very high standard to make sure the residents come first. They are treated to a high standard of dignity no matter what. I cannot fault Abbots care of my mother.

Very helpful person who helped me with my problem.

She is always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

Kate made me feel comfortable and welcome. She took time to explain everything and answered all my questions in detail. When typing data into the computer, she did not keep me wondering what was going on but instead she explained what she was doing at every stage of the interview. This lady is an asset to the council. Thank you.

I nominate Anjii. What a wonderful person she is. Very helpful and she tries her best to help you. Nothing is too much trouble for her. I wish they were all like her.

I feel personally that without the services this centre provides, many families around the area, would be without guidance, advice and the practical support, often needed but seldom found. The staff are always cheerful, helping as much as they can and the facilities for the children are absolutely incredible. I rate this place very highly and hope that it will be here for many years to come.

Debra came to my mum to help with form filling and was very helpful with this task. She is very helpful with lots of different aspects of concern with elderly people and also a very nice person.

Gill has made me feel confident and has helped me with all my problems. She is always very kind and thoughtful and would like to nominate her for an award

My parents feel that Debra Tullett fully deserves a Wow Award they found her to be efficient, re-assuring and kind in her approach. She explained everything fully and clearly, so that they understood things easily. In addition her sparkling personality was just the tonic they needed.

For accomodating our sports session for vulnerable adults making extra allowances for what kit and facilities we can use. For being helpful and making the session enjoyable.

Lovely, friendly person. Dad loves coming here as all staff are great. 10 out of 10.

Although the lady was firm i am impressed by the way she efficiently processed the claim and am very grateful that it was done so quickly i.e. there and then. Thank you Wow!

I recently aggravated an injury at dimensions gym and Julie showed such care and compassion helping me, she was able to get me a number of ice packs, offered to call someone for me to fetch me, offered to get me a drink and constantly checked on me after she had seen other customers. When I could move again Julie took me down in the lift making sure I was ok before she left me. To me the service and support shown here was second to none and Julie is a real asset to the team.

We would like to thank Miss Leese, for her time and dedication for the ballet class at school. Also for enabling these children to take part in the Fact and Fiction show at the theatre.

I think the care and friendliness given to my dad by Lynne. Really helped him during his stay in Marrow House.

She really made us feel welcome and took us round to see all the facilities.

I have never been so helped ever. At my most desperate time ever i was wowed by Anjii. This problem has caused me to lose 2 and a half stone in 6 weeks and have sleepless nights. I feel happy and smiled after Anjii helped me. Most importantly this has to do with my son and Anjii was understanding, fast, friendly and efficient. was dealing with a professional. Absolutely brilliant - i saw no future before this morning. Thanks thanks thanks Anjii.

I made an initial email enquiry yesterday (24/01/2013). By the afternoon John Nolan had telephoned me to ascertain the exact presise information I required and talked me through the available options that could assist me. He gave me all the information I required as well as making positive helpful suggestions that will enable me to travel whilst using my mobility scooter. In addition to the verbal advice he gave me he then sent me an email confiirming the information in writing. This man was polite and had a deep knowledge base about the subject we discussed. I believe he is enthauastic and helped me as an individual. He is a credit to the Council.
