11211. Mick Roberts
On two occasions now Mick helped my tenant to sort out his housing benefit and his council tax. On both occasions he has been patient and thorough, ensuring everything has been properly completed. I have actually sent in an email and commended the work of Mick in respect of my tenants but I did not know his name then.

11096. Christine Knight
On Monday 18th October I reported damage to the cobble stones at the gate leading from my house to the entry at the rear. The next morning I opened my gate and the cobble stones had been removed and tarmac had been laid to fill in the gap. An excellent job done and a smooth surface left, as i walk with an elbow crutch this means alot to me.

11058. Sandra Ramsay
Im a volunteer, part of an enormous non-profit making project to put a photograph of every Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave on the internet. I visited Burslem cemetery last weekend, and found over 160 of the 180+ graves recorded there. I called at bereavement services (Carmountside) today to see if I could get help finding the others. And there I met Sandra. She really couldnt have been more helpful. She gave me detailed plans of every Stoke cemetery, not just Burslem, details of how I can look up the pre 1995 burials in the Library, explained how the cemetery layout works, gave me contact details for the Diocese of Lichfield for churchyard burials, and even looked up one of my "missing" men as an example. A shinning example of excellent public service - even in these difficult times.

10984. Derek Wheawell
There is a person I have come across in the last twelve months who has gone that extra mile to be friendly and helpful. That person is Derek Wheawell, who is the receptionist at Willfield Centre (lower site). He has gone out of his way to make sure our training sessions have run smoothly and the needs of the candidates have been met. During the course of the day, Derek comes into contact with many people, including adults with physical and learning difficulties, He is so genuinely kind to everyone and patient he is a shining example of how a "front of house" member of staff should be. In short, he is a fantastic ambassador for Stoke City Council.

11020. Paul Fantauzzo
I only told Paul about trying to place a bid for a property, he was very helpful in every way that he could. I told him I was having problems getting down to the office also remembering to phone my vote through, as my husband was in hospital he has got cancer. Paul rang me to remind me to do it, there are not many people that would do that these days. He always asked how my husband was every time he rang. He is a very kind and caring man, we could do with more people like him. Thank you

10988. Michael Birch
Michael always gives exceptional service, he treats all clients individually, knows most of them by name and will stop to talk to everyone making everyone feel like they are receiving individual treatment. Michael gives this fantastic service as well as perfroming all his expected tasks as well. My husband says that when Michael is working it is obvious because the changing rooms are spotless, compared to when he is not working!! One evening recently as my husband and I were leaving (after 10pm) Michael stayed behind to put a couple of tiles back on just outside the shower area that had fallen off, he was not asked to, he just decided to do because he takes great pride in his work and working environment. When we asked him the next day what time he finished he had not left until after 11pm! This man always gives 100% and more, he is always happy in his work, takes pride in his work and everyone loves him because of how fantastic his customer service is. He is a true credit to Fenton Manor and Shapes and this should be rewarded.
