12876. Longton Library Team
The second time I have nominated them since these awards began; is because, under the pressure of the proposals to move the library in to the old town halls ground floor, as part of the pedestrianisation, they continue to offer a top class, excellent service. If the library is moved, our staff have already shown that they will carry on helping us as in a caring and efficient way. No group of people couldve done better.

She is by all means dedicated to the work she does, nothing is too much trouble for her and she treats my sister very well and gives her any help she may require. I cant praise her and all the staff for the wonderful work they are doing, the home is like walking into a five star hotel and Im also treated with the same respect, cant praise it enough.

12793. Kerry Cartwright
She has been of constant help and support to our family. She organises care for our children when my mental health deteriorates and is always there to offer telephone as well as emergency support for us. Without Kerry I dont know where myself or my family would be.

12795. Daniel Edgar
Because his attitude towards me was so friendly, giving me the impression that we were both aiming to ensure that my problem was sorted out accurately and that the math would be finalised there and then. Pleasant indeed.

12746. Linda Boys and the Eastern Neighbourhood Team
The Eastern Neighbourhood Management Team set the standard that all public service providers should aspire to achieve. Managed by Linda Boys the team demonstrate a passion for the neighbourhood and the residents they serve as though we were part of their family, whilst maintaining a professional approach to all they do. As the chair of the local residents association many residents request help or advice in resolving issues, Linda and her team appear to have all the keys to open the right doors to address local issues for local people which as I witness the outcomes gives me a great feeling that public service is alive and well in the hands of this team. I would just like to highlight one issue of many that Linda has championed. Our local community centre committee have been doing their best to keep it operating for the local residents, however the centre hit the buffers making a loss of £4,000 in 2010 on hearing of this Linda stepped in to see how she could help, although community centres do not come within her remit, Linda Wanted to help, she quickly called meetings with all involved carried out an assessment on the people skills and the commercial aspects of managing the centre arranged and trained all the committee members and developed a business plan a small business would be proud of, Linda carried out the training every Friday night after a full days work until the training was complete. We are now off and running and with clear objectives. I am sure that we will suceed thanks to Linda. That made me WOW, what about you.

12652. The Team at Fenton Cemetry
I attend the cemetry weekly and feel they go out of their way to make you feel safe and welcome at Fenton Cemetry, they take great pride in their work and are always polite and willing to help. Recently I approached them as I never felt the ground around my parents grave had been level or lawned to an acceptable level, they have gone out of their way to meet my request and shown great compassion whenever I have visited. With financial cuts and job losses I hope this team will not be affected as they are a credit to the city council and deserve a WOW Award

12669. Tim Ashibende
As a potentially new landlord in Stoke (existing one in other areas) Tim was refreshingly honest and transparent about the pros and cons of being a landlord in Stoke. He had excellent knowledge and although my initial call was accidentally redirected, he made an awful lot of time for me, explaining the process, rates, areas and really made being a private sector landlord in Stoke viable. He also had good understanding of the future of housing benefit and warned me what I had to consider if I went ahead. Based on our conversation, I would seriously consider becoming a landlord in Stoke. Thanks Mo

Our sister recently spent four weeks at Marrow House (respite) and we believe she was well cared for. The experience at this location has served us well (and our sister) by introducing us to the benefits of residential care.

12621. Kevin Pillar
I saw Kevin Pillar on the 17/02/11, I was in a rush for a hospital appointment. My problem was about the weather, I was still on the housing exchange list, I did it online myself and could not get any clarification on this matter. Mr Pillar not only checked my situation but printed off paper work relevent to my questions. He did this in super quick time he was very pleasant I went out of the one-stop shop feeling I had been attended by someone that knew about my problem. Thank you.
