Christine has given me so much help, kindness and understanding regarding my mother-in-law. She goes about her work in a very caring and knowing way. She has a very kindly manner but is also matter of fact when need be. She has always been there when I needed her with advice. She truly has been a godsend.

Kevan was extremely helpful and patient and resolved my matter promptly. Very good communicator and made the issue easy to understand. Thank you very much.

I found Joy and Jackie very polite, kind and really made me feel at ease. They did everything to please, nothing was too much trouble for them. I hope this team continues to give support to people who really need it and benefit them like I have been helped.

Both are very helpful, always smiling and will do anything they can for their customers. Going into Shopmobility on any day makes life better and brighter for talking to them.

Judith has been the person that believed in me with my many problems. I cannot thank her enough. She is never far away. She has gone beyond the call of duty. She deserves an award.

I would like to nominate Amanda for a WOW award as she has helped my family immensely. I believe she has gone above and beyond her job, in helping with benefit advice and making my parents feel at ease during a difficult time. She has ensured that they will receive all help and support they can and she has made sure that if there are any problems in the future that the family will be notified.

All the staff were excellent to my mother and looked after her very well throughout the two weeks of respite. Hope to see you soon.

Mr Elkin has been very helpful with my benefits application forms. He is very professional and friendly. I would readily recommend this service to anyone.

The team have provided an excellent care package for my mother, including physical, psychological and rehabilitation programmes. A very valuable service, not sure what we as a family would have done without it. Thank you.

I want to nominate all the staff at The Meadows. I spent four weeks there (end August to beginning September recovering from a hip operation.) The care I received was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, the accommmodation really very clean and pleasant - just like a 5-star hotel. I owe my recovery to the brilliant staff at The Meadows.

I contacted Cathy two weeks ago to explain that myself and husband were due to go away to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary on 16th October but my mum who I have become the main carer for had suddenly gone down hill with her mobility due to a flare up of polymyalgia and is unable to stand to prepare meals or to make drinks, I knew that it was short notice but I asked if there would be any chance that my mum could go into respite so that I knew she would be safe. I am an only child so have no one else to fall back on, Cathy came out, completed an assessment and went back to her office to see what could be arranged, she phoned to say that she had got a place for my mum. She revisited my mum with all the details, and then visited the care home to take the necessary documents, she had a look round and on leaving she rang my mum again to tell her about the home and what was available for her once she got there. Thanks Cathy and WOW brilliant work

For their excellent service and care. Over the six week period they attended to my needs with kindness and were very polite.

I with to commend Julie Smith. Julie came to do an annual assessmentfor both myself and my wife for direct payments. It was apparent from the start she had done her homework and read up thoroughly on our cases before she came. Her attitude towards us was very friendly and not judgemental which made us feel at ease and the questions she asked us were to the point which helped draw out of us the information she required - Julie listened and also looked around the house to see what our situation was and what our needs were, then made her assessment - her final written report/assessment reflected very well our present situation and needs - and it was obvious she had put a lot of work into the report. Julie did her job very well and I think she is a credit to social services and Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

This man has made me feel so relaxed and certainly does his job very well.

She was really helpful and told me more than I would have known.

I feel that my service, not only today but everytime I have seen this lady, has been first class. She has been so helpful with my drinking problems and my state of mind. I really owe her my greatest debt and she is a credit to Stoke-on-Trent City Council. Thank you so so much.

She has consistently gone above and beyond her remit to understand and help me to understand my entitlements. Her manner is always cheery while also being professional. Thank you Anjii for being an example to your profession.

They work as a team and are very careful, also they do not rush you into anything you do not wish to do, they go out of their way to help me to go swimming, boating and shopping and they are always on time.

Both of these ladies were polite friendly and very efficient. I went away feeling very satisfied with the way this side of the city affairs were being run.

This young lady dealt with my complaint in a calm, unbiased manner, without giving any confidential material away. A very pleasant and personable person. Thank you and good luck. Kevin Brooks.

The time and effort they put in organising a fund raiser for the residnets comfort fund and then the three of them spent their day off running two stalls at a local carnival to raise the funds, to do that all in their own time I think is going the extra mile. Well done.
