Recent Nominations

I would like to nominate Debra Tullett for a Wow award due to her very approachable and intelligent treatment of my 90 year old mother whilst assessing her for an attendance allowance. Professional and on the ball.

I would like to nominate "ALL" the staff at St Michaels House for the warm, caring and professional manner in which they have worked after my 90 year old mother whilst in their care. What struck me most of all was the team work between all the different departments. Excellent!!

My mum has respite at Marrow House her care both physical and mental, also emotional is excellent. The staff take care what ever mum needs. The staff have the knowledge and patience to help and sometimes just be there to give support. They make the enviroment a happy and relaxed place to be. The efficiency of the staff that are in the office with the booking in and medication gives me peace of mind that everything is done correct and to the book. Marrow House Staff deserve the wow award for my mums care and my peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after.

The team have been very respectful at all times. They have given the confidence which I needed.

It is impossible to nominate one person. The people who make up the Rehab Team are WONDERFUL. They are dedicated to helping people like myself, without them, and their support i would not have made the progress i have, There help will never be forgotten.

Just a few words to compliment Wendy and her teams at St Johns and Portland House. Having worked numerous shifts for the above establishments (through agency) since November 2012 I feel I must acknowledge the fine work all the staff do for the clients in their care. I was made to feel very welcome from the fist day at both places and feel that I was included in everything and was made to feel part of the team. From my experiences all staff have a wide knowledge base about their clients and fully understand their needs. Staff are person centered in their approach to care. It was heartening to see that the staff had a great understanding of their clients needs. The monitoring of care is very good and again from what I observed communication between the Day Service Officers and Families was excellent. Clients who were able to said that they really enjoyed going to the centres and talked positively about the staff. I could go on! Keep up the fantastic work. WONDERFUL (place to work) OPPORTUNITY to work for you. thank you for giving it to me WORTHY of all the credit you receive.

This is not a nomination for a specific person, but to cover the excellent service and care provided for my mother, Yvonne Morris, whilst she was in the care of staff at Abbot House, Abbey Hulton. Every member of staff contributed to the attention to detail and concern, and although my mother has been in a variety of care services through the years, I have never experienced such dedicated care as at Abbot House. They should all be commended.

I received first class service on the 09/04/2013 and was very impressed and thought wow that was really efficient. The service was efficient, polite and very helpful. It was on a Tuesday afternoon and they were very busy at the Stoke-on-Trent one stop shop at about 2.15 pm. It was excellent service.

The work and dedication the staff put into the day centre is second to none. It is a busy and exciting place to be. The respect shown to service users and staff is excellent.
