Recent Nominations

I contacted Stoke-on-Trent Archives with a query relating to an ancestor of mine. The reply came within three days and it was evident that Liz Cooper had undertaken thorough research on my behalf. The response was detailed and clear with suggestions for further research elsewhere and very useful information. I was impressed by the efficiency of Liz Coopers response. I have made contact with archives in other areas with similar queries and have not always met with such thorough, polite and helpful service. A very positive experience for me, thank you.

The family would like to nominate Karen for a Wow Award for the kind and considerate way she has treated Renee whilst in her care, and the way she has treated the family.

Dawn is kind and very thoughtful. She is always very eager to help and always has a smile on her face.

This employee went out of her way to provide us with all the information we required plus she was polite, helpful and answered any questions we had. As we had never used this service before Deb told us all what we needed to know.

Sue responds quickly to enquiries in a positive and helpful way. She has a good grasp of problems faced by allotment tenants, sometimes needing the judgement of Solomon, and applies the rule book in a fair and sensible manner. Most recently, she has advised me as a site secretary on the issue of self-management. Her advice has been clear and she has offered her help in guiding us through the process.

I do not know what would have happened to me if I had not met all the wonderful people who have helped me. They have given me my life back. Long may this service continue for all of the people who need it in Stoke on Trent. It is vital for the well being of sometimes very vulnerable and isolated people. I cant thank them enough and I will never forget them and what they did for me.

I was introduced to the rehab team when I came home. I was very aprehensive at first. The girls have been more like family / friends. I could ask them anything. I have gained confidence and have achieved things which I wouldnt have been able to achieve without their support. Weve had plenty of laughs along the way. It has been a very successful experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

I would like to nominate Jane for an award because she has been a fantastic source of support for me and my family. Ive recently had an operation on my kidney and without Jane my recovery would have been alot longer as she was there supporting my 2 1/2 year daughter and also my 18 year old daughter too. Jane has been a real help to all my family and I think she is a real star!

Because I feel exceptionally pleased with the service I received. He was very polite and a pleasure to have in ones home. He expained everything to me clearly. I am eighty years of age and it means alot when you get someone like Gerard Clayton. I am sure you must be very proud having him on your staff. I nominate him for a WOW! Award. He certainly went that extra mile!

Sarah Evans thoroughly investigated my complaint. She was extremely efficient and she was very professional. She got to the bottom of the complaint and she resolved the issue. I was very impressed with her detective skills and believe she can only be a real asset to the City of Stoke on Trent.
