Company Profile

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is a successful teaching trust and is proud of it’s long record of success.
 
The Trust has around 4,700 staff and 1,200 beds. It provides secondary care district general hospital services to a population of around 500,000 in County Durham and Darlington, and into North Yorkshire, with sub-regional services reaching into the South of Tyne area, serving a population of 1.2m.
We provide services to the populations of the Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in County Durham and Darlington and also to other PCTs outside the patch.
 
Our vision is to deliver excellent healthcare in hospital, home and community, and we have two strategic priorities to help us achieve this:
