26332. Grace Rose
I arrived in Graces " office" feeling emotional and nervous. My Mum passed away almost 6 months ago in Medway Maritime. I had no one with me when I arrived ( for support ) and I was tearful. Grace has a wonderful empathy about her and she hugged me and made me feel much calmer. My anxiety was much reduced, she made me feel like I was the only person she had seen all day, despite the fact that she must see scores of people everyday. A lovely Lady, excellent Nurse. THANKYOU Grace !

26372. Brigitte Ham
What a wonderful person, I attended the clinic on 16th August for pre op assessment, I had had a heart trace done the week before, and the results were unavailable. Brigitte went out of her way to make sure all my results were sorted before i was admitted, she even put off going home untill it was sorted, I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and she made me feel as if i was the only person she was dealing with, not only that but i had to return for a new pre op assessment on 28 September 2012 for admission on Thursday 4th October 2012 to have nodes removed, i felt quite down, and when i told her it would be nice to have someone to just put their arm around me and say there there or just a hug of comfort, I was blown away when she gave me a hug, I thought that was well above the call of duty having only met her twice, I came away feeling so much better, WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON,

I was still very frightened following Breast Surgery, Joselito surpassed all that was expected from him and allowed me to use his mobile to ring home to my children to let them know how I was, this meant the world to me and my boys. Joselito deserves this award I will remember his kindness forever.

26223. Melanie Stout
I gave birth to my daughter Isla on the 9th August. Mel was there through my labour, she explained everything that was going on and everything I needed to do in a clear and supportive way. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease through it all. Mel was then working the following evening, she gave me great support with breastfeeding and lots of tips on how to care for my baby. She is kind and very down to earth which makes it easy for people to ask for help and guidance. We were very lucky to have her involved in the birth of our baby.

26230. Ruth Lowdell & the Vascular Day Unit and Intervention Team
From the first time I met Ruth Lowedell I was impressed by her thoroughness and her caring for me and my wife. She was efficient in arranging an early appointment for me for an angiogram. When I arrived for the procedure I was made to feel welcome and relaxed and was dealt with efficiently which was shown all the way through my stay. Also, the radiologist and his team were very thorough and kind during the angioplasty. I commend them all, especially Ruth Lowdell, whole heartedly.

26232. Nelson Ward
I was very anxious about hospitals in general, and after being admitted as an emergency, I did not know what to expect. The staff on Nelson Ward have really helped to reassure me and look after me. They have taken the time to explain things to me and made me feel safe and comfortable. They have been very friendly, approachable and proffessional. It would have been an even more difficult time for me without their care and compassion.

26233. Annette Janes
I would like to nominate this midwife as she was bill and kind to me and my family at the birth of my daughter on the 17th September 2011 (the reason it is a year later is I thought her name was Jones but I found it was Janes). She is very good at her job.

26235. Leia Stephan-Taylor
This person needs to be recognised for her role in the hospital and in the community. My specific reason is because for someone to spend 100% of their time discussing OT issues specifially for me is very special. Her 1:1 patient skills and bedside manner are faultless. I know nurses work very hard but I feel OTs are not given the praise they deserve,
