Staff were very professional and friendly. Thanks to all the lovely and respectful people who have been involved in looking after me. I was offered the best possible of care that I needed in the journey from Darent Valley A and E to Medway A and E and McCulloch

All the staff in this ward work extremely hard, they are on the go all the time non stop. They are polite and patient at all times even under the pressure. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Please consider them for the wow award - they thoroughly have earned it.

Every time I have gone to have an infusion I receive excellent care, they make you feel very welcome and are very friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend them all run under sister Patience.

I was nervous about the scan but was greeted by a very happy understanding nurse "Lina". I cannot explain how much we laughed as she talked me through what was about to happen and continued to explain each part of the test. It was over before I could even think about stress and we still had time to laugh. If Lina threats every patient as she did me then she has the wow for the job she does.

Quick response and really helped my grandad. Once my grandad was taken in the ambulance he stayed with is for a few minutes (as I was a nervous wreck) and really helped calm things down.

I'd like to thank both Angie and Dee for their care and support through a difficult time for both my Father and me. Mum was in for a few weeks where we were there daily and unfortunately passed away recently. Over this time we got to know both Angie and Dee with our many visits to the restaurant. Angie always took the time to have a chat and ask how things were with mum and also ourselves, her invaluable support, thoughtfulness and kindness will stay with us forever. Dee again is a very thoughful, kind and caring person who everyday had a happy smile on her face which is very uplifting when times are hard. Nothing was too much trouble and although you may think these angels are not treating people they actually are as acts of kindness that they showed us have gone a long way to help heal the hurt we feel. Angie runs a great restaurant with happy staff and that is a credit to her and needs to be recognised. Without their support it would have been far more difficult to get through our sad time. I have been in hospital before and it was horrible. When I was admitted to Will Adams ward, I was again confronted with lots of older immobile ladies around me and some even suffered from dementia. As the youngest by around 40 years I found this situation hard. However, seeing Mel each morning not only brightened my day, but all the lovely old ladies around me. They came alive in her presence. Her work was efficient and competent, but she really took time to talk and listen to all her patients. Her Italian accent was thick, but her way of speaking allowed them to all hear her and understand her. She cared about the little things, like moving the food bowls closer to the patients who were hard of sight, and explaining where all the cutlery etc were. She turned the beds down as the patients liked, and never patronised anyone in her tone or actions. Her positive glow and funny personality helped us all through some difficult times, plus cuddles along the way helped too. Without her and also many other wonderful staff on Will Adams ward, I am sure that these older ladies would not have improved in health and wellbeing as quickly as they did within the week I was there. I also thank her for my speedy recovery too!
