Welcome to The WOW! Awards homepage for Haringey Council.

Haringey in north London is the first local authority in the country to sign up to The WOW! Awards.

The council piloted the scheme last year in libraries, registrars and customer services. After an overwhelming response from satisfied customers, with more than 400 nominations submitted, the WOW! Awards scheme has now been extended across the council – with a staggering 137 nominations received in the first two weeks!

“Haringey Council’s aim is to achieve excellent services, and this is a great way to encourage our staff to go that extra mile to meet customers’ needs,” says Cllr Lorna Reith, Cabinet Member for Community Cohesion and Involvement.

“It also provides Haringey’s customers with a straightforward way to recognise and encourage great service.”
